Coloring Books
The rippling of muscle beneath glossy coats. The softness of the eye and the depth of its glance. The swiftness and beauty. The terror that power can provoke. The sensitivity to the subtlest cues and the perseverance and hardiness of an iron will.
Horses have always been a favorite animal of mine and were a subject I drew often in my early years. A year ago, I finally committed to creating a coloring book. After finishing the first one, a second followed quickly on its heels. Now, outlines for two additional projects exist. Below, you can read the details and preview images for the two completed books and find their links to the store.
These are 100% original works. No AI was used in their creation.

Just Horses, Volume 1
This coloring book contains a collection of 25 unique horse outlines with 42 colorable images. With a few exceptions, full-body outlines have two versions: one with a background and one with the horse(s) only. Great for kids to scribble on because horses are cool but also suitable for the more experienced or advanced artist.
You will find the horses in this book anywhere from galloping across mountain ridges to snoozing beneath the shade of trees. So, change into your cozy clothes, grab something to drink, cocoon yourself in a blanket, put on your favorite music or audiobook, and explore this collection. Hopefully, you will find a little relaxation at the least and a little inspiration at the most.

Differences may exist between how the image appears on your monitor and how it prints (i.e. the lines on the printed version might not be dark enough or be too dark). Many possible reasons for this exist, and some solutions to fix opacity (how dark or faded the image appears) and printed image size are provided below.
-
PDF files (if applicable): these might not print as a full-page image, even when the page orientation is set to “Landscape.”
The following solutions depend on the program or app you’re printing from (e.g. Windows Photos, Adobe) and your printer and the options available to you. The examples provided below are when using Windows Photos.
Problem: Image not fitting on page
-
Open the image
-
Either click the “…” tab for the drop-down menu and select “print” or perform the function Ctrl + P to open print options
From the printing menu, several solutions exist:
2a) Some images might simply need the Orientation switched to either “Portrait” or “Landscape”
2b) Try adjusting the Photo Size
2c) Try adjusting the Fit
2d) Try adjusting the Page Margins
2e) Or any combination of the above options
Problem: Unusual color
1) Ensure that “monochrome” or “black and white” is selected in the printing options. This option might be under More/Advanced Settings from within the main printing menu.
Problem: Outline not faded enough or too faded
1) If you have a basic photo editing app, you might be able to adjust the opacity (how faded the lines are). Many possible solutions exist to adjust a black-and-white image. Also, experimenting with lighting options such as brightness, exposure, contrast, and highlights may achieve your desired printed version.
2) Try opening and printing the image with a different program.
3) You might find a “work-around” solution. For example, you can drop or insert an image into Word and edit it using the variety of “Picture Format” tools. When you’re finished, right-click the picture, select “Save as Image” on the menu, and then choose the file type you want to save the image as, the location you want to save it to, and its name. You can then reopen the image and try printing it again. However, certain programs, apps, and file types automatically resize or compress images, affecting the overall quality.
4) You may also be able to change opacity or size within your printer’s menu itself.
