About
I grew up as a third-culture kid. Born in Alaska, I spent growing-up years in The Last Frontier, the Middle East, and Texas. Once I reached college age, I moved around to different universities and US states before finally achieving a BS in Criminal Justice. Following a short stint in the Army, I earned my master's in Terrorism & Counterterrorism Studies. Am I using either degree at this time? No. No, I am not.
My art life began at a very early age. I had a rich inner world, and my art and toy-playing reflected my tireless, somewhat hyperactive imagination. Years passed, and I continued drawing. When I reached high school, I began creative storywriting in earnest. Though I didn’t realize it at the time, writing was a combination of escapism and a coping mechanism to deal with the confusing and frustrating nature of social interactions that make up Life. My first book was published early in my university career. Its original form was truly a monstrosity and an insult to the writing profession.
Meanwhile, I continued experimenting with my artwork and began enjoying traditional oil on canvas. In 2012, I bought my first graphic art tablet, stylus, and software. I haven’t regretted it for one second. Most of my work over the past decade has been digital. However, I have slowly returned to oil and acrylic on canvas. I hope to expand into 2D and 3D animation in the near future.

Services
Art Commissions
Occasionally, I open windows of opportunity for art commissions. These can include digital art or traditional art pieces and be any PG-13 appropriate subject matter (e.g. concept art, fantasy creatures, fictional characters, realistic animal studies, and so on). I can also mimic artistic styles or eras, if desired. You will receive a watermarked image for review when your project is complete. When full payment is made, you will receive the non-watermarked product. After a piece is finished, you can make up to two (2) change requests at no charge.

Photo/Image Editing
Windows of opportunity also open for photo editing. Editing can include photo colorization, object removal, and texturizing, to name a few. Removing objects isn’t as simple as lassoing an area of a photo and cutting it out. Empty spaces must be filled in a way that matches the quality, color, lighting, and pixelization of the original photo. The same difficulty applies to adding objects and making said object look like it belongs in the photograph. When done incorrectly, the discrepancies are noticeable.
Graphic Design: A Note
Graphic design and digital art aren’t synonymous. Someone who creates digital art doesn’t necessarily make graphic design products too. Graphic design (aka visual communications) is its own category of art-meets-technology. Britannica defines it as “the art and profession of selecting and arranging visual elements—such as typography, images, symbols, and colors—to convey a message to an audience.” Examples include logos and book and website design. At this time, the only graphic design products I make are logos.

Rates
I charge an hourly rate. This base rate may increase if the project is especially lengthy or complex.

For a quote, send me an email that includes the type of project and a general idea of what you have in mind for said project. If you're a new client with a complex and lengthy commission, you may be asked to pay a certain percentage upfront (no more than 20% of the projected total cost). You know you're an honest, upstanding individual, but I do not and must take measures to protect my time and effort. Also, please respect your time and mine by not contacting me about anything other than art or writing matters.

Payment Methods for Commissions
I can send you an invoice via either PayPal or from Zoho Books (similar to QuickBooks), which allows you to pay with a credit card.

Policy
I reserve the right to terminate a project at any time. In this rare event, the reasons will typically be because of 1) constant, drawn-out indecision and change requests on behalf of the client, 2) abusive conduct on behalf of the client, and/or 3) persistent requests of "can you do it cheaper?"

Working together on commissions can be rewarding but sometimes unexpectedly stressful. Delivering a satisfactory product to you is a great joy. This is my mentality, and you will not hurt my feelings by making requests and narrowing down the final product. I need you to be honest about what you want. However, behaving like an entitled, overbaked tart is entirely unnecessary, and neither I nor anyone else is under any obligation to deal with such a person.
When I’m preparing to open my schedule to commissions, I will post an announcement on this website’s Home page.

Note: I no longer conform to society’s nonstop grind culture. I lived in burnout for years and now only overextend myself under very select and calculated situations. As such, it may take me a few days to read your email, consider its content, and reply. Additionally, to disagree on a subject is normal, but let us remain courteous and professional toward each other while doing so.

Technically, it's an announcements letter. I won't flood your inbox with pointless and annoying electronic advertisements. You will only receive an email when I have posted an announcement on this site's Home page. Don't forget to check your Junk mail folder!
